National Policy Statement for Care and Repair in Scotland: consultation paper published

Care and Repair Scotland is seeking views on the content of a revised National Policy Statement for Care and Repair in Scotland.

The previous National Policy Statement was published in March 2011. Alex Neil MSP said in his foreword:

'This National Policy Statement reflects the aspirations of local Care and Repair services to continue to deliver these services, and to contribute to health and housing outcomes.  It provides the foundation for Care and Repair services to go forward and demonstrate how they can support local authorities and health boards as they face the challenges ahead.'

Care and Repair Scotland wants to build on the progress and success made since the last Statement. We are therefore seeking views on the content of a National Policy Statement for Care and Repair in Scotland. In the first instance we would welcome views on the issues discussed in this paper and whether there are additional issues that should also be included. Taking account of the responses to this consultation, CRS will prepare a Policy Statement which will be circulated in draft to stakeholders and interested parties for further comments before it is finalised.
